Karen St James

Karen St James grew up in a small picture-postcard coastal village in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The exact date is a closely guarded secret! After growing up by the sea and living in various coastal areas around the world, she became inspired to write stories about the sea and the creatures that dwell in the depths of them, for her son to enjoy. Karen is a mum of one energetic human boy, and two mischievous terriers called Elvis and Sox.

Karen can usually be found covered in sticky tape or paint whilst undertaking some sort of arty-crafty activity with her son. The St James family are passionate about protecting our beaches and marine life, and they can often be found undertaking beach cleaning expeditions in the area in which they live.

Karen considers her heart to belong to the captivating beauty of West Wales, and dreams one day of returning.
